I think losing Petan is going to suck, because I believe that given the right opportunity he would have been a great offensive threat.
Also I hope that we never have to have Leaf posting in this blog again. They are like Hydra. Burn one and boom two more come rushing up from the sewer. |

I floated the idea of trading the rights to Ivan Telegin, Petan and a 3rd round pick to Vegas in exchange for them selecting a certain player plus getting one of their expansion choice goalies in return. |

Bobby Mac saying the jets are moving down a couple spots in entry draft and adding a pick so they don't take enstrom. It's reported Vegas is getting the islanders 15th overall so maybe we are moving down to 15 and adding hopefully nothing more than a third |

It takes players petans size longer, see Johnson or Marty St. Louis. If Maurice would spread out the lines better I'd like to see what he could do. Like if our lines were;
Laine/shief/armia
Ehlers/ little/ Connor
Perrault/ petan / wheeler
Copp/ Lowry / Mathias

Here's hoping the Jets keep Petan. |

Clearly I think less of Petan's value than everyone else. I'm not against the guy just that I have my doubts the Jets get a situation together where he can flourish. |

Even still, throwing him away to insure we keep Enstrom is a waste of an asset. At least try and trade him first, maybe to his hometown Vancouver for Hutton or something? Just don't give him away. |

Who's to say they didn't try and found that he has no to little value? What has he done since turning pro to warrant a decent return...it's not like he was lighting up the Moose when he was with them. When his biggest accomplishment since turning pro is growing a mean moustache, you can't expect teams to be lined up with great offers. |

Exactly, who's to say they did or DIDNT. Maybe they haven't shopped him and he has value? Who's to say right? All I said is don't throw him away. |

I don't think Petan has a ton of value but before giving him away for nothing i'd at least try for;
Habs - Davidson
Canucks - Hutton
Ranges - day
Flyers - Haag
And I'm sure there are a lot more guys drafted in rounds 2-4 in the last few years not excelling in the NHL yet.
Your right, who knows, maybe they did, maybe they didn't?? |
